Cigar Event: Smokin’ in the Carolinas 2018 in Burlington, NC
Introduction
JR Cigar recently announced their annual Smokin’ in the Carolinas 2018. This is the 6th anniversary of the event. The event occurs on Saturday, June 9th, 2018, from 12:30-5:30 pm at JR Cigar’s Burlington, NC location. The night before the main event, JR Cigar is hosting a VIP party. See below for more details. Experience southern hospitality on full display from the huge variety of cigars, delicious food, and fun to be had at Smokin’ in the Carolinas. You’ll be sure to be come back year after year. This year’s event kicks off on Friday, June 8th for the VIP party at Best Western. If you are not able to join us for the VIP party, be sure not to miss out on the main event on Saturday, June 9th.”
Location
The event takes place at JR Cigar’s Burlington location at 2580 Eric Lane, Burlington, NC. Take Exit 143 on I-40/85 and you’ll see JR Cigar in the distance. You can’t miss it as there are 385 billboards on the interstate highway before you get there!

Smokin’ in the Carolinas 2018
The main event takes place at JR Cigar’s Burlington, NC location. The event takes place from 11:00 am – 5:30 pm for VIP ticket holders and 11:30 – 5:30 pm for General Admission ticket holders. All attendees have an opportunity to meet and greet premium cigar manufacturers, 60 premium cigars, unlimited beer by Red Oak Brewery, BBQ by Grill 584, raffles supporting Cigars for Warriors, and live music, games, and more. You’ll receive cigars from Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Romeo y Julieta, Aging Room, Rocky Patel, Drew Estate, Espinosa, Nat Sherman, My Father, Davidoff Cigars, Alex Bradley, Miami Cigar, Oliva, Macanudo, and more. There will be a number of cigarlebrities at the event, including AJ Fernandez, Rafael Nodal of Aging Room Cigars, Robert Holt of Southern Draw Cigars, Nestor Plasencia, and others.
Tickets
General Admission Ticket
General Admission tickets are $155 and include more than 60 premium cigars, meet and greet with premium cigar manufacturers, unlimited beer by Red Oak Brewery, BBQ by Grill 584, raffles supporting Cigars for Warriors, and live music, games, and more.
VIP Ticket
VIP tickets cost $250 and crap, they are already sold out! Well, if you were lucky enough to get VIP tickets, your ticket includes everything a General Admission ticket holders receive; admission to the Friday night VIP event with a three-course meal, complimentary drinks, and cigar deals; special VIP check-in and private VIP area at the main event, complete with wait staff.
Lodging
There are five hotels available in the area with special deals for the event: Best Western Plus, Drury Inn & Suites, Courtyard Marriott, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Holiday Inn Express.
