Cigar Aficionado’s Big Smoke Miami 2018 takes place on Friday, March 16th, 2018, from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm. The event takes place at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach. The Big Smoke is the gold standard of cigar events. The biggest and baddest cigar manufacturers and brands will be there including Alec Bradley, Arturo Fuente, Cohiba, Drew Estate, Joya de Nicaragua, Oliva, Padron, and Rocky Patel.

Cigar Event: CIGARFest 2018 in The Poconos, PA

Cigars International’s CIGARfest 2018 takes place from Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 through Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at various locations in Pennsylvania. Most of the events take place at Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony, PA. This is the 15th year for the event and CIGARfest is one of the biggest cigar events in the world with 6,000 attendees. If you have not attended, you should try to attend, although the 6,000 tickets sell out in seconds when they go on sale.

Cigar Intel 2017 Cigar of the Year

This is our 6th year selecting a Cigar of the Year. Unlike other websites and publications, our Cigar of the Year is based simply on the cigar Smokey Butts and I smoked the most of that year.  Plain and simple. Other publications base their selection on taste, quality, burn, flame, ash, hints of heather and cinnamon, tobacco source, blah blah blah.  Our selection for 2017 was easy. I personally smoked at least 100 of our 2017 Cigar of the Year. Smokey smoked a ton as well. The empty cigar boxes from our winner are stacked a couple of feet high in my smoke room. Yes, this cigar is a winner!

Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars

Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars is a soon to be released documentary about premium cigars. The film includes a number of interviews with leaders in the cigar industry-manufacturers, cigarlebrities, etc., including Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars, Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigars, Jose Orlando Padron of Padron Cigars, Jose Pepin Garcia of My Father Cigars, and Rocky Patel of Rocky Patel Premium Cigars. The documentary is 70% complete and the directors need your help to finish the film. They are attempting to raise $50,000 to provide funds to film in the Dominican Republic and Cuba, and also edit the film to completion.
