Cigar Intel 2017 Cigar of the Year

This is our 6th year selecting a Cigar of the Year. Unlike other websites and publications, our Cigar of the Year is based simply on the cigar Smokey Butts and I smoked the most of that year.  Plain and simple. Other publications base their selection on taste, quality, burn, flame, ash, hints of heather and cinnamon, tobacco source, blah blah blah.  Our selection for 2017 was easy. I personally smoked at least 100 of our 2017 Cigar of the Year. Smokey smoked a ton as well. The empty cigar boxes from our winner are stacked a couple of feet high in my smoke room. Yes, this cigar is a winner!

2017 Cigar Trophies Announced by Cigar Journal Magazine

Cigar Journal recently announced the winners of the 2017 Cigar Trophies. Cigar Journal is the hands down best cigar magazine. Winners were selected via a two-step process. First, readers of Cigar Journal submitted their selections for each category and Cigar Journal selected finalists based on the number of votes received during the nomination phase. Next, readers selected the winners from the finalists of the nomination phase.
