Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars Released

Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars is now available on iTunes and is available on Google Play and Amazon by mid-August, 2019.

We previously reported about the film in 2017. The film includes a number of interviews with leaders in the cigar industry-manufacturers, cigarlebrities, etc., including Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars, Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigars, Jose Orlando Padron of Padron Cigars, Jose Pepin Garcia of My Father Cigars, and Rocky Patel of Rocky Patel Premium Cigars.

After a few trials and tribulations, the Directors premiered the film at a variety of cigar events in 2018. The film was funded by a number of cigar manufacturers, as well as through an Indiegogo campaign. You can learn more at the Official Site.

From iTunes:

As tensions rose between the United States and Cuba, Castro began to nationalize important industries within Cuba, the premium tobacco industry being among them. Many traditional Cuban tobacco-growing families lost everything and had to flee to the US, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras to rebuild. Hand Rolled follows those families on a decades-long struggle to reestablish themselves in uncertain economies throughout Latin America.” You can rent the film from iTunes for $4.99 or buy the film for $14.99.

The official trailer is here:

The film is exceptional, highlighting the history of the premium cigar industry and also discussing current regulatory issues in the United States. We highly recommend you check out this film while smoking a fine, premium cigar!
