Operation: Cigars For Warriors Ships One Million Cigars to Troops

Operation: Cigars For Warriors announced it has shipped its one millionth cigar to U.S. troops deployed overseas in combat zones.

Operation: Cigars For Warriors collects cigars from individual donors by mail and at cigar events of all sizes and formats across the U.S. Volunteer event coordinators staff events. Events are typically held in conjunction with retail donation centers, cigar industry groups, and manufacturers.

Operation: Cigars For Warriors reached this goal despite pain in the ass regulations implemented by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The regulations prevent cigar manufacturers from contributing cigars to any charity. Prior to this pending regulation, manufacturers were a major source of donations. After the regulation, Operation: Cigars For Warriors has relied on donations from cigar shops and cigar smokers like you.

Storm Boen, Chairman and CEO of Operation: Cigars for Warriors, said:

“Operation: Cigars for Warriors is a registered 501(c)3 charity operating nationwide whose mission is to provide premium cigars and cigar accessories to U.S. troops serving in active combat zones. Since 2012, nearly one million cigars have been donated to U.S. servicemen and women, in addition to coffee, magazines, cigar lighters and cutters. CFW is proud to be Platinum certified for financial transparency by GuideStar.

The shipment of our one millionth cigar to deployed servicemembers is an incredibly momentous milestone in the history of our charity, which would not have been possible without the generous contributions of our volunteers, donation centers and industry partners.”

Operation: Cigars For Warriors is an exceptional charity. Support our troops by opening up your humidor and filling a bag of premium cigars. You can find instructions on how to donate cigars at the Operation: Cigars For Warriors website.
