Box Press Podcast/VODcast from Boveda

Boveda Inc., maker of the ubiquitous two-way humidity control packs, is stepping into the world of Podcasts and VODcasts. In November 2017, Box Press Podcast and VODcast made its debut with an episode entitled, “How to Winterize Your Humidor”.

The series is hosted by Rob Gagner, who is very good and has a natural approach to hosting the Podcast/VODcast. He is also an account manager at Boveda Inc. Each episode has a special guest so our host has someone to talk to!

To date, Boveda Inc. has released five episodes. Here’s an episode list:

  1. How to Winterize Your Humidor: This episode of Box Press explains how variances in external temperature and humidity affect the humidity in your humidor. Luke Chase, the Producer of the show, joins Gagner. This episode is highly informative for those who want to learn more about how to properly care for your cigars over the winter.
  1. Smoking w/ Litto Gomez In His Car & How to Fix a Low RH% in Your Humidor: Episode 2 of Box Press discusses stories about Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana and what’s going on inside your humidor, including Relative Humidity (RH) changes, solving issues with humidity, factors that impact RH levels, and more.
  1. 1. How Herf Groups are Putting the Boom Back in Cigars: Special guests for this episode of Box Press are Fabian Frederick and Joe Guzman, Founders of the Minnesota Herf Connect, a virtual and real world cigar group. In the episode, they define a “herf”, explain how a herf works and the benefits of joining your local or online herf, common cigar questions, how to create a Tupperdore, and more.
  1. Busting 4 Myths about Cuban Cigars: In this episode, Boveda Inc. International Relations Executive Benjamin Patock joins the series to discuss why Europeans prefer Cuban cigars over non-Cuban cigars and misconceptions about Cuban cigars. Patock is hilarious and this episode is well worth a watch.

The production quality of the episodes is exceptional. This is one of the best-produced cigar Podcasts and VODcasts available.

You can subscribe to the series on iTunes and YouTube.

c.gar loves all things cigar-related. He typically falls in love with cigars that are discontinued shortly thereafter. His first cigar was a Swisher Sweet with a wood tip. Sadly, these are still in production.
